The sustainMare Research Mission
consists of seven collaborative topical research projects. Each project involves multiple institutional partners from academia, as well as government agencies and societal groups. In addition, many stakeholders are directly or indirectly involved in the work. In total more than 280 scientists from 28 partner institutions are collaborating within the research mission sustainMare.
The target areas are the North and Baltic Seas, whith a particular focus on the German EEZ and German coastal waters. The Research Mission consists of two pilot projects and five research networks. Each alliance in turn consists of several institutional partners in science, but also from authorities and social groups. In addition, stakeholders participate directly or indirectly in the work.
